What’s New in Manatee County: Fall 2026 Openings

Several new restaurants and stores opened across Manatee County this fall. Most of the action is out east, along State Road 64 near Heritage Harbour and Lakewood Ranch, with one local favorite finally coming to West Bradenton.

Ed’s Tavern comes to West Bradenton

Ed’s Tavern already had three Manatee County locations. The new one at 7433 Manatee Ave. W. is its first in West Bradenton, which makes it an easy stop on the way to or from Anna Maria Island. Expect the usual Ed’s menu of burgers, wings, wraps, sandwiches, salads and entrées. Like the Moccasin Wallow Road location near I-75, this one has a golf and sports simulator suite inside, so it works for a group outing as well as game day. Details are at edstavernfl.com.

Heritage Harbour: three openings in one stretch

The corner of State Road 64 East near Heritage Harbour is turning into a dining and shopping hub, with new spots in both the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour and The Landing at Heritage Harbour.

Chick-fil-A opened Oct. 15 at the entrance to the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour (7283 SR 64 E). According to Chick-fil-A’s announcement, it runs Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and delivery. The local owner-operator, Jonathan Ith, previously ran the Chick-fil-A on State Road 70 in the Creekwood plaza.

Extreme Pizza, a California chain, opened its first Manatee County store inside The Landing at Heritage Harbour (7839 SR 64 E). The menu covers specialty pizzas plus subs, calzones, salads, appetizers and desserts. See extremepizza.com for the menu.

The Herald reports more businesses are being built nearby, including Lucky Goat, Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza and Sephora. We’ll add them here once they announce opening dates.

Whole Foods opens Thursday, Nov. 5

Manatee County’s first Whole Foods Market opens at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7295 State Road 64 East in the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour, near the new Chick-fil-A. Until now, the closest store for most of the county was the one near the Mall at University Town Center.

Going on opening morning? Grand openings at this plaza draw a crowd, and the Chick-fil-A drive-thru shares the same entrance. Get there early if you want a tote, and leave extra time for traffic on SR 64.

Chipotle with a drive-thru in Lakewood Ranch

Chipotle’s new restaurant at 16680 State Road 64 East, in the Northchase Center, has a “Chipotlane.” That’s a drive-thru lane for picking up orders placed ahead in the app or online, not a lane where you order at a speaker. The Herald notes it’s the company’s 1,500th Chipotlane location.

Tuscan Hills Coffee: a drive-thru trailer in Parrish

Tuscan Hills Coffee Company moved from Kentucky to Parrish and set up shop in a coffee trailer with a drive-thru at 12205 81st St. E. The fall menu’s best sellers include Pumpkin Cookie Butter and Sea Salt Toffee. They post updates on Instagram and Facebook rather than a website, so check there for hours.

Just over the line: Life Time

One more for Lakewood Ranch residents, though it’s technically in Sarasota County. Life Time, which calls itself an “athletic country club,” opened off Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. The 186,000-plus-square-foot club has resort-style pools with a water slide, indoor and outdoor pickleball, a cold plunge, sauna and steam room, a spa, a café and co-working space. Membership details are at lifetime.life.
